Auch in diesem Jahr realisiert RODEO in Kooperation mit dem Goethe-Institut e.V. das Programm BLOOM UP. Es ist ein Residency-Format für internationales und genreübergreifendes künstlerisches Arbeiten. Freischaffende Künstlerinnen und Künstler der Darstellenden Künste aus München und dem Ausland waren eingeladen, sich mit einem gemeinsamen Projekt auf Arbeitsstipendien zu bewerben. Das Format bietet Raum für kollaboratives Arbeiten, Recherche und die Entwicklung von Arbeits- und Austauschprozessen. Von einer thematischen Setzung sieht BLOOM UP ab. Im Rahmen des Festivals geben die partizipierenden Künstlerinnen und Künstler Einblick in ihre Arbeitsstände.

Die Auswahl für die diesjährigen BLOOM UPs erfolgte im Frühjahr 2017. Aus den eingegangenen Bewerbungen wurden drei Projekte ausgewählt. Arbeitsphasen für die einzelnen Projekte fanden jeweils im Ausland statt und werden ab Mitte September in München fortgesetzt.

RODEO 2018 freut sich, Künstler aus Neu-Delhi (Indien), Tokio (Japan) und Tel Aviv (Israel) zu Gast zu haben.

This year, RODEO will once again implement the programme BLOOM UP in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, a residency format for international and cross-genre artistic work. Independent artists in the field of performing arts from Munich and abroad were invited to apply for a working grant with a joint project. The format provides space for collaborative work, research and the development of processes of working and exchange. BLOOM UP deliberately refrains from setting a theme for the programme. During the festival, the participating artists will grant an insight into the status of their work.

This year’s BLOOM UPs were selected in the spring of 2017; three projects were chosen from among the submissions for the fellowship. Working phases for all projects have already taken place abroad and will be continued in Munich from mid-September.

RODEO 2018 is happy to welcome guests from New Delhi (India), Tokyo (Japan) and Tel Aviv (Israel).
